News #6

Guys it’s been too long. Almost a year. I don’t think anyone reads this blog. No one really did to begin with. It was mostly me just talking to myself! (lol). Which is fine by me.

Anyway, I really miss writing music reviews, a lot. In my last news post a year ago, I also stated how I wanted to get back into writing again. I was able to keep it up for a few months then fell off the bandwagon.

That was when I was in college and busy most days. As a new struggling graduate, I have a lot of free time! I definitely want to start being more active on this blog.

Like a year ago, my tastes in music have changed a lot.

If anyone has any recommendations for girl groups who focus more on dancing and singing (like Fairies or E-girls), send them my way please! I definitely need to check out more Japanese groups!

I have also become a huge fan of a lot of kpop girl groups. While the focus of this blog will still be jpop, I definitely would like to add the more underrated kpop girl groups.

I also am going to focus on updating a lot of older artists. I know I’m really behind and missing reviews for a lot of groups, so that will be the main focus right now. Then later, I’ll add more artists I’ve been interested in lately! (There are tons of new ones!)

Not Reviewing Anymore:

Crayon Pop: This group is on a hiatus due to Soyul leaving, but I’m not really fooled. I know that there’s little chance that they will ever release anything again. I’m really heartbroken over this because I really liked this group and thought they were really unique. I don’t think they’re going to release any more music so there’s no reason to keep them on here.

Idoling!!!: Was going to do their last album they released before their disbandment, but I kind of lost the motivation to do it, especially since the album before that wasn’t that great.

News #5

Hi guys!!! It has been foreeever since I’ve logged in/looked at/posted on this blog. I definitely want to get back to reviewing music again. It’s a new year with new goals. Plus, my tastes in music has definitely changed a little, so it’d be interesting to see how that compares with my old interests. With being gone so long, I have gotten interested in a lot of new artists and lost interests in others.

Artists to Add:

Tsubaki Factory

File:Tsubaki Factory - Hatsukoi Sunrise promo.jpg

Since I added their sister group, kobushi factory, why not add Tsubaki as well? I admit, they don’t impress me as much as kobushi does. Kobushi just has better personalities, vocals, music, etc, but I admit that tsubaki has been improving a lot so they are worth giving a try at least!

Crayon Pop

I KNOW. What is a kpop group doing on this blog? The HORROR. I have been increasningly enjoying a lot of kpop girl groups lately, but even before this new craze, crayon pop has always been one of my favorite groups. They’re silly and a little quirky. Due to that, they don’t get a lt of attention and are often labeled “weird.” Despite this, I am a huge fan of theirs and think they should be added.

Another kpop group! Stellar is a small 4 unit girl group, and like Crayon Pop, they are seriously underrated. When their cute concept wasn’t working, they turned to a more mature style to gain attention. This came with extreme backlash from the public and now this group is kind of hated a bit. Despite Stellar’s mature themes, their music is actually very good. They have an interesting and unique sort of synthpop style.

Thinking About Adding

Predia: This group was requested, and I have taken a peek at their music. They all seem to have good vocals and I love that they embrace a more mature image instead of going for the typical youthful idol thing

Gfriend: This is a kpop group again. Although I’m not blown away by Gfriend’s music, their dances and concepts are always really cool

WJSN (Cosmic Girls): This large kpop group is very cutsey which I normally don’t go for, but they have a very “cosmic” or “spacey” quality to their music which I like

Not Reviewing Anymore

Dream5: They are disbanding soon and my interest over the years has gone down

Momoiro Clover Z: My interest with momoclo also dwindled down. I think them doing blackface was the last straw for me honestly…

Sakura Gakuin: Once all of my favorites graduated, I lost interest in this group which is such as shame. They were just a generic idol group, but their songs were so lively and the members had spirit

Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku: See Sakura Gakuin

Weather Girls: I really liked this taiwanese-japanese group but it seems that are not active anymore : (

News #3

Since I’ve been on hiatus for so long until now, my interests in music have changed. I think it’s time to change my review list.

I will be adding some new artists!

Ever since Follow Me, they’ve caught my eye. I’ve been listening to some of their music, and I like it! Their dancing is awesome, as well as their PV’s. They’ve become one of my new favorite artists.

Berryz Koubou

In memory of Berryz disbandment, I thought it would be nice to go back and listen to all of their music. This is the group that got me into jpop, and I have followed them for many years! Also, I have reviewed pretty much all of         C-ute’s stuff.

Mano Erina

I already reviewed one of her albums, I should just finish the rest of her music since she no longer releases music!

I will also be suspending some artists:

Sakura Gakuin: I don’t know, after Ayami, Ayaka, and Airi left, my interest in this group has plummeted. Their last two singles didn’t really impress me either.

Momorio Clover Z: Same with Sakura Gakuin, I haven’t really been caught up with momoclo is a long time.

Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku: I was never really into this group, but I don’t want to completely drop them because I like them still.

Weather Girls: Where have these girls been?

Cheeky Parade: Same reason as Momoclo and Sakura Gakuin.

I will be getting rid of the artists:

SUPER☆GiRLS: I’m sorry. I really hate their music style. I tried to like them, but cutesy generic Idol pop is not for me.

i☆Ris: Same reason for SUPERGiRLS.

That’s all for now!

I’m Back!

It’s been a while!

I am so sorry, I lost access to both my email account, and this account. I’ve been trying to access my accounts for over a year with no luck. I didn’t want to start a new blog because it would be too much trouble. However, today I finally had some success with accessing my accounts. Now I will be reviewing regularly! I’ve started my second year of college, and in the year, I’ve discovered so many new artists.

I’m glad to be back!

News #2

Sorry for the lack of updates, I’ve been so busy with college stuff and graduation. It’ll be Summer soon. Hopefully I can listen to music and review stuff more often.

Since I reviewed all of C-ute, Ieiri Leo, and S/mileage’s stuff, except for their recent singles, I think it’s time to add some new artists.

Silent Siren

I recently just discovered this Idol-band. Silent Siren is a 4 member bandol made up of magazine models. These girls are seriously cute! Don’t let their cuteness fool you. The girls claim to play their own instruments, and I believe them unless I see proof. The lead singer, Suu, has a great voice. Their songs include a wide range of genres such as rock, ballads, pop, and much more. I will be also posting lyrics from SS since nobody seems to have them romanized anywhere!

H!P’s new group. I have been watching them closely, and I love them! Their debut single is amazing. I eve learned part of the dance, (yes, I do dance a bit). I also like their second indies single.

File:Buono! - Sherbet Promo.jpg

Since pretty much all of C-ute’s and S/mileage’s singles are done, for the most part, It’s buono’s turn since they have the next shortest discography in H!P. They have been inactive lately. I love this trio, and I hope a new single from them comes out!

BRIGHT has disbanded….. *_____* I loved this group! I’m so sad that they won’t be releasing anymore… so I won’t be reviewing them anymore except maybe their old stuff…

A new artist has been added to the thinking about/want to review list

  • E-girls

Yeah… that’s about it. I’ll try to write more.

News #1

Thanks for voting on the Poll guys! I’m adding these new artists to be reviewed regularly.

Crazy Kanzen na Otona Limited D 9911

I’m an H!P fan, so I’ve always wanted to add more H!P artists. After S/mileage, C-ute has the shortest discography, and their recent singles have been so interesting. I think they deserve to be added!

Ieiri Leo

I discovered her shortly last year. I bought all of her singles and her album. She’s amazing! Her voice is heavenly and she has good music! She’s not an idol, but that’s okay!

Again, I want to add more H!P stuff. S.mileage’s discography is short, and I really like the new s/mileage members, so I thought I should add them.

Additionally, Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku and BRIGHT has been taken off the regularly reviewed list. Their company blocks and takes down all of the PV’s for this group. Hearing their music is really hard. I’m feeling some distance from them and haven’t been interested in their music since they made their major debut. Hopefully, I can get back to them some time. BRIGH hasn’t released anything in a year… *sad face*

New artists have been added to the Thinking about/want to review list

  • SATOYAMA Movements
  • Juice=Juice
  • Takaki Asahi
  • Palet

I’m almost to 2,000 page views, which isn’t much compared to other blogs, but my thanks goes out to IdolMinded, NyNy for her occasional comments, and everyone else who reads my blog!!
